ERICSSON TYPE N1051A8T AUTOMATIC INTERMEDIATE BAKELITE TELEPHONE - ORIGINAL & UNTESTED - TEL HANDSET.

On offer is a genuine Ericsson Type N1051A8T 4‑Button PBX Extension Rotary Bakelite Telephone.

This Ericsson pattern switchboard/extension desk telephone, fitted with a TEL (Téléphone Électrique Lyonnais) marked handset was introduced in 1955. These sets were made to Institutional specification used on private branch exchanges such as hotel switchboards and internal office networks from the 1950’s - 1970’s. It functioned as a master or intermediate station capable of managing calls across different internal extension and external exchange routing configurations.

This example features the four-button control panel which is notably rarer than the standard three button versions. The four coloured push-buttons on the top crown correspond directly to the text label below them:

White Button operates the Extension function.

Black Button controls the Ring function.

Black Button handles the Ring function.

Red Button links directly to the external public Exchange.

The rotary dial turns smoothly and the buttons, switches and fittings are all intact. All original parts and wiring are present. Internal mechanisms, coils, wiring looms, and terminal board are untouched and unmodified. This example features a correct TEL handset, matching the period and Ericsson’s own supply chain which retains its original cloth cord.

It is in excellent overall cosmetic condition and remains unconverted and untouched internally, retaining its original wiring diagram, switching assembly and factory components.

It has not been tested and is sold for restoration, display or to add to your collection.
