French artist Jean-Baptiste Valadié, born in 1933, was actively establishing his international career and producing early paintings, drawings, and lithographs by 1964.

Having graduated from Paris schools in the mid-1950s, his work from this early 1960s period already reflected deep sensuality, dreamlike qualities, and worldly motifs inspired by early travels and exhibitions.

Artistic Background & 1960s. Graduated from the National School of Applied Arts in Paris in 1955.

Early Exhibitions: Held early international showcases during military service and travels around 1960. Focused on graceful figures, dreamlike moods, and fluid lines using media like oil, lithography, and engraving.

The frame on this print is a distinctive "scotia profile" picture frame, very characteristic of mid-century European framing design (circa 1950s–1960s).

While it looks unusual compared to slim, modern frames today, this exact frame was standard for high-end prints published by companies like Frost & Reed during that era.

The Frame measures approx. 83cm wide x 69cm high.

The Print and the Frame are both in excellent condition, there are just some light spots to the metal trim, please see pictures.
