This is an authentic vintage Gainey Ceramics architectural cylinder planter pot, model AC-9, crafted in La Verne, California. Known for their iconic mid-century modern (MCM) designs, this planter features a clean, minimalist silhouette finished in a gorgeous glossy gray glaze. Gainey pieces are highly sought after by modernist collectors and plant enthusiasts alike since the historic pottery ceased all ceramic production in 2013. Condition Details: There is one small flea-bite chip along the inside rim of the upper edge (please see close-up photo). The interior and bottom exhibit light scuffs, minor soil residue, and typical manufacturing glaze irregularities consistent with age and authentic vintage use. There are no major structural cracks or repairs. The planter does not have a drainage hole. The bottom is clearly stamped with: "LA VERNE CALIF CERAMICS GAINEY AC-9 U.S.A".
