Nice vintage sterling silver Taxco, Mexico tie/money clip made by Riveriano Castillo in his studio between 1952 and 1980. Castillo started as an apprentice to William Spratling in 1934; in 1939 he moved to Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Castillo and his wife opened their own store in 1952. The store closed in 1992. This clip measures 2 3/8" in length and 1/2" at the widest point. Weight is 12.6 grams. Reverse is stamped Sterling and Taxco, as well as 69.
