Vintage limited edition table lamp featuring the famous Walter Crane “Swan, Rush and Iris” design, originally created in 1875 and reproduced under licence for the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A).

The cylindrical body is decorated with opposing white swans amongst reeds on a dark ground, with an antiqued finish to the metalwork. Numbered 15 of 250, making this a limited edition example.

Believed to date from the late 1980s to 1990s. The lamp carries a V&A mark and what appears to be the maker’s initials JW (or possibly JH).

A decorative lamp suitable for Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, William Morris, V&A Museum and period-inspired interiors.

Condition

* Good vintage condition overall.

* Light age-related wear and marks to the finish.

* A few minor scuffs to the base as shown in the photographs.

* No lampshade included.

* Fitted with inline switch - not currently got a plug so would need rewired.

* Takes a standard bayonet bulb (bulb not included).
