Vintage Aviemore Pottery Scotland Studio Pottery Blue Salt Pig Hand Decorated.

A lovely vintage Aviemore Pottery salt pig, made in Scotland and clearly marked to the base “Aviemore Pottery – Scotland.”

A particularly decorative example, finished in a rich blue/teal glaze with striking cream abstract decoration. The free-flowing pattern gives it a wonderful mid-century/studio pottery feel, and the large open front makes it both an attractive display piece and a practical kitchen salt cellar.

The salt pig has a pleasing rounded form with a small knobbed neck to the top and an unglazed cream interior. Measures approx 16cm by 12cm.
