Vintage c1950s Dresden Lace Dancing Georgian Couple Figurine Ornament 12cm High

Dresden lace figurine of a dancing Georgian couple. Mid 20th century but in an 18th century Rococo style. There is some damage to the lace of the dress. It is reasonably clean but to be honest a little dirtier than I would normally allow for sale. I have cleaned it as best I can but in my experience the lace is particularly easy to damage if it gets wet so I will leave more thorough cleaning to the buyer. I think cleaning it with a cotton bud and a dry brush would probably do the trick. The man is also missing the little finger of his left hand.

Although these things are not really my cup of tea, I have to say that there are a lot of really good features about this figurine. The expressions on their face faces, the poise and delicacy of the ladies hand gestures is exquisite.

Terms like “excellent” or “very good condition” are subjective but I mean for their age and consistent with normal use.for example, it is unreasonable to expect a 1930s household item to be immaculate but if it is I will describe it as immaculate or mint.

* All fragile items will be sent in sturdy boxes wrapped in bubble wrap paddled out with void paper. I know how disappointing it is when an item arrives broken. Please get in touch if you have a problem and take some photos of the damage.
* This is a non smoking home - but not pet free. Random dogs may find their way into photos and these are not included in the sale
