Up for sale is 1 1963-1982 Corvette lower LH control arm. This control arm has been considered a blem to us. The shock bolts were stripped out so they have a threaded insert in them. This threaded insert is much stronger then a helicoil as it is threaded in and then pinned in. There is a little bit hanging above the OEM nut which could be either ground off or left as is. This part is rebuilt using an original control arm. They have been cleaned, bushings removed, ball joints removed, everything media blasted and inspected, and re-assembled. The shaft has been inspected to ensure that it is straight. New grade 8 hardware is used on it. The bushings are MOOG suspension parts and the ball joints are also MOOG. They have new bumpers installed as well.
The control arms are painted in satin black. The washers and the shafts are all painted cast iron color to look original.
These ball joints are not riveted in. They are bolted in.
These are original control arms, shafts, and washers when applicable. They most likely will have some pitting on them. All are in good usable shape.
No cores are needed like other vendors and manufactures require. We do not charge extra on top for the cores. This means that you can continue to enjoy driving your car until you are ready to do the suspension rebuilt.
This auction is only for a LH lower. If you are needing both an upper and a lower pair for the LH side please see my other auctions. This will save on the price and shipping.
Almost
all of these are coming from C3 Corvettes. They will work with C2 as well.
There is some slight design changes that happened in the very early years. They
are compatible though.
The lower that is pictured is the exact one that you will receive since it is a blem.
