Beautiful antique Victorian satin glass Jack in the Pulpit style vase with a softly flared asymmetrical rim, applied clear glass feet, and delicate hand-painted enamel decoration in gold, white, and blue tones. The vase features a pale blue satin finish with darker blue shading along the rim and ornate floral scrollwork throughout.
Measures approximately 6.5” tall. The bulbous body, pulled rim, and applied feet give it a classic late 19th to early 20th century art glass appearance, likely Bohemian or Victorian-era decorative glass.
Condition is good antique condition overall with expected age-related wear to some of the enamel decoration. I believe the ends of two applied feet may have nips/chips at the tips as pictured. The vase remains stable and displays beautifully. There is also a light dirt shadow/discoloration on the side that did not come off with a gentle wash. Honestly, I’m making the flaws sound worse than they appear — this piece is absolutely gorgeous in person and the imperfections are fairly minor and not noticeable during display. No cracks noted. Manufacturing irregularities typical of antique hand-finished glass may be present.
A beautiful and unusual display piece for collectors of Victorian satin glass, Jack in the Pulpit vases, or antique enamel decorated art glass.
