Lot of six original antique Carte de Visite (CDV) photographs featuring Victorian women and dating primarily from the late 19th century.
The group includes two portraits by N.E. Pierce of Waverly, Iowa, along with a portrait from Hovey's Art Gallery, 26 Blue Island Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
The photographs show an appealing variety of period women's fashion and hairstyles, including formal dresses, high collars, lace and traditional studio portrait settings.
The photographs were found together, but no relationship between the women has been established.
