A porcelain lidded trinket box by Herend, Hungary, egg-shaped or ovoid and decorated in the hand-painted Rothschild Bird pattern: two birds on a branch and a grassy mount on the lid, with three butterflies around the sides. The rims are in 24 carat gold. The factory stamp is on the underside, along with the painted number 60R3/Ro.

Excellent vintage condition, no chips crazing or cracks, close to mint.

Size: about 4.8 cm high, 7.5 x 5.5 cm.
