USSR Soviet Soldier "Stand to the Death" Stalingrad Metal Statue Vintage 15cm

The sculpture was created in the 1960s in the USSR. It is a monument to the Soviet soldier, a soldier who fought to the death and defended his homeland. It symbolizes the most difficult moments of the Battle of Stalingrad in World War II. The main part of the memorial in Volgograd begins with these sculptures. One of the three main elements of the Mamayev Kurgan complex in Volgograd (Stalingrad). Unveiled on October 15, 1967. The artist is monumental sculptor and People's Artist of the USSR E.V. Vuchetich.
CONDITION: The figurine is in good collector's condition. It has not been restored or updated.
