charming, matching pair of antique German bisque porcelain wall plaques in the classic Jasperware style. Produced by the renowned firm Schafer & Vater, these pieces feature a beautifully rendered, raised white relief of an Art Nouveau maiden resting her head, accompanied by a small cherub (putti) and delicate floral details.

The figures are set against a soft, matte sage green background with organic, flowing
"whiplash" borders typical of the Art Nouveau period. Both pieces retain their factory-pierced holes at the top rim and still feature their original vintage hanging twine, making them ready for symmetrical display.

One is in mint condition. The other has two shallow chips or flakes to the two bottom corners however, these are small and not obvious when displayed. Please see photographs.
