Exceptional and rare early 20th-century English espresso trio set by Booths, Staffordshire, circa 1915. This complete set of four matching three-piece espresso trios (12 pieces total) includes cup, saucer, and dessert plate in the scarce “Parrot & Tree” pattern, featuring vivid tropical birds among flowering branches framed by cobalt and gilt geometric borders.

These are the demitasse/espresso size, a much rarer form than the standard tea service, produced in Booths’ innovative “Silicon China” body—an early reinforced earthenware prized for its chip resistance and fine hand-colored transfer detail. Each piece shows soft antique glaze tone with uniform light crazing only, no chips, or repairs. Beautifully preserved examples of Booths’ most collectible bird pattern, seldom found as a full espresso service.
