Contemporary studio ceramic totem figure, 19” tall, inspired by HOPI KACHINA mask forms with a bird MASK face and grid-plaid robe. Hand-built art sculpture, signed and dated 2019

This contemporary ceramic sculpture presents as a tall totem figure with a stylized bird-mask face, elongated black nose, large circular eyes, and a columnar body decorated in a repeating grid-plaid robe pattern. The form is inspired by SOUTHWEST and HOPI KACHINA ceremonial mask aesthetics, interpreted through a modern studio-art lens. Hand-built construction with layered clay textures gives the piece strong sculptural presence and visual depth.

Signed and dated on the underside, indicating studio production in 2019. The open top is structural from the hand-building process and was not intended for candle or functional use. This is a decorative art sculpture designed as a contemporary totem or spirit.
