Vintage Postcard - Waldorf-Astoria Hotel New York Night Scene POSTED
This is a vibrant night-time view of the iconic Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, capturing the bustling atmosphere of Park Avenue. The Waldorf-Astoria remains one of the most world-famous hotels, long regarded as a symbol of luxury and New York history since its opening at this location in 1931.
Condition: The card is in very good condition and measures 9.5 x 14.0 cm. There is light corner wear and minor blunting at the tips consistent with typical postal handling. The reverse shows typical ink bleed from the postmark and faint age-related toning to the paper stock. It remains a sturdy and clean example of a mid-20th-century plastic-coated card.
Philatelic & Publisher: Published by Plastichrome, Boston, Mass. Postmarked in New York in 1970, featuring a 28c US Airmail stamp.
Message Summary: Ian and Shirley write from the Waldorf-Astoria to their family in Edinburgh, noting their late arrival after a long flight and sharing that they are enjoying their comfortable room.

Please review the high-resolution scans carefully. Additionally, while we try our best to accurately reproduce the tone of our cards, colours may vary slightly due to screen settings.
