A particularly good 1930s Alfred Dunhill “Giant” table lighter, made in England with a silver-plated body, fine engine-turned decoration and the classic exposed lift-arm mechanism. This model is documented as dating to around 1935 and carries Registered Design No. 737418; examples of the same design measure approximately 10.5 cm high.

The underside is stamped Dunhill, Reg’d Design No. 737418, Patent No. 390107 and Made in England. A lovely piece of pre-war British Art Deco design and a very collectible example of Dunhill’s early smoking accessories.

The lighter is in good working order. It shows attractive age-related patina, light surface wear and tarnishing consistent with its age, but overall presents very well. Supplied empty apart form cotton woddin for shipping.

Measures approximately 10 cm / 3.9 in tall.
