Power Steering Pump Replacement or Installation Guide
I. Preparation and Cleaning
1. Drain Fluid: When removing the old pump, ensure all old hydraulic fluid is completely drained.
2. Component Inspection:
Inspect the reservoir (oil tank) for damage.
Check if the reservoir filter screen is clogged.
Inspect the inlet hose for hardening or aging.
3.Fluid Quality: Never use contaminated fluid or fluid that has turned black or cloudy.

II. Installation Precautions
1. Air Ingestion Prevention: Tighten the inlet hose clamp securely during installation to prevent air from entering the pump.
2. Leak Prevention: Replace the seal ring at the high-pressure hose connection to avoid misinterpreting leaks from this point as pump leakage.

III. Oil Filling and Bleeding Procedure (Critical Steps)
1. Install the pump body.
2. Fill the reservoir with fresh fluid to the appropriate level.
3. Start the engine without turning the steering wheel.
4. Allow the system to bleed air automatically: After starting, let the power steering pump circulate fluid on its own. The pump will automatically expel air through its internal passages. Allow sufficient time for this process. While the engine idles, monitor the reservoir fluid level and top up with fresh fluid as needed until the level stabilizes at the standard mark.
5. Final operation: After the level stabilizes, turn the steering wheel left and right to check for smooth operation and absence of abnormal noises. Finally, confirm the oil level.

IV. Critical Precautions
1. Thorough Cleaning is Essential: Before installation, meticulously clean the reservoir and all lines. Any residual contaminants entering the new pump during operation may cause jamming or damage.
2. Troubleshooting: If the pump fails due to contaminants, contact us immediately. We will provide a pump cleaning video. Follow the video instructions for cleaning, which typically restores normal function.
