Ernst August Altmann (c. 1850–1920)
A prominent German-born jeweller, die-maker, and engraver who settled in Melbourne, Australia.
Career: He operated businesses in Richmond and Melbourne, creating dies for major entities like the Royal Mint and the firm Stokes.
Artistic Legacy: His work includes copper & silver engravings and medals, some of which were showcased at the 1873 International Exhibition in London. & 1879 Sandhurst Industrial Exhibition ,
