■ 1. Shipping Methods
Due to a recent missing mail case, we have upgraded our primary shipping method to EMS.
With EMS, your package is fully insured and trackable, ensuring a safe transaction.
We still offer International AIR Packet (renamed from International ePacket Light as of June 1, 2026) as a cheaper alternative upon request. If you choose this method, please let us know before payment.
However, please be aware that International AIR Packet is generally slower and comes with ZERO insurance for loss or damage.
By choosing International AIR Packet, you agree to accept these risks.
■ 2. Combined Shipping
We are happy to combine shipping for multiple items!
- Add $1.00 for each additional mixed lot to the shipping rates shown below.
(The total shipping cost is usually calculated automatically. If the calculation appears incorrect in your cart, please use the "Request Total" feature before making payment.)
■ 3. Shipping Destinations

[Important Update for EU Customers - July 2026]
Due to new EU customs rules effective July 1, 2026, a flat customs duty/tax of €3 will be applied to each individual item valued under €150.
Furthermore, according to Japan Post, shipments using the IOSS system (which applies to orders under €150 where VAT is paid via eBay) are currently SUSPENDED for the following countries:
- Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal
If you are located in one of these countries, you may still place a bid or purchase, but your shipment will be put on hold until normal shipping/IOSS operations resume.
Alternatively, we can ship your order without IOSS upon request, but please note that we cannot be held responsible for any customs issues. Please contact us for details before bidding.

■ Important: Name and Address Format
Due to Japan Post's system limitations, please ensure both your recipient name and shipping address are written using standard English characters (A-Z, a-z), numbers, and basic symbols only.
We cannot generate shipping labels for text containing:
- Accented letters or diacritics (e.g., à, é, î, ö, ū, ç, ž, ñ)
- Ligatures (e.g., ß, œ, ø)
- Superscript characters or ordinal indicators (e.g., 2º, 3ª)
- Chinese, Cyrillic, or other non-Latin scripts.
Please strictly use standard letters (e.g., replace "Müller" with "Mueller", "Straße" with "Strasse", and 2º with "2o" or "2") before payment.
■ Customs Declaration
- We generally declare items as "Dried insect specimens for scientific study" (HS code: 9705.29) and "Sale of goods" with the actual total value on the shipping label.
- If you have specific requests regarding the customs declaration (e.g., declared value or marking as "Gift"), please message us immediately after purchase.
■ Customs Duties & Taxes
- Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
- Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
- Confiscation Risk: We will NOT be held responsible or offer refunds if customs authorities in your country confiscate or return the items, even if you use fully insured EMS.
■ Special Note for EU Buyers (About VAT and Customs)
We ship parcels with the required IOSS information registered electronically, and for orders under €150 (where VAT is collected by eBay), the label will indicate "VAT Paid." However, local customs authorities occasionally charge VAT again by mistake upon arrival (this has previously occurred with parcels to France). If this happens, please pay the fee to receive your item and request a refund for the duplicate VAT directly from eBay by providing your receipt.
Please also note that shipments to Spain and Italy frequently experience customs delays, taking an extraordinarily long time to process, or in some cases are returned to the sender without prior notification. We strongly advise you to track your parcel closely and contact your local customs office or postal authority immediately if delivery appears delayed.
■ Special Note for Buyers in Mainland China (PRC)
Shipping insect specimens to Mainland China has become extremely difficult due to strict customs regulations. Please be aware that last year, ALL insect specimen parcels we attempted to ship to Mainland China were opened by customs and subsequently returned or confiscated.
Please note that we have encountered NO issues with shipments to Hong Kong or Macao.
We strongly advise against bidding from Mainland China unless you have a specific method to clear customs. We are still able to attempt shipping our items to Mainland China, but cannot accept responsibility nor offer refunds for any customs issues.
