Large vintage hand-forged iron candle holder with a highly decorative symmetrical form.

The piece has two candle sconces, stepped geometric arms, serrated arched sections and a series of hand-cut leaf / spear-shaped pendants. It stands on three curved forged legs and has a tall central stem with flattened terminal.

Very much a handmade piece rather than factory-produced, with visible riveted construction and irregularities from the making process. The design has a strong folk art / primitive / brutalist feel and would work well in a rustic, medieval, Gothic or mid-century inspired interior.

The iron has an aged blackened finish with surface rust, oxidation, wear and marks throughout, all consistent with age and use. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

No maker’s mark or signature found.

Condition: Good vintage condition overall. Surface rust and age-related wear throughout. Candle cups show previous use. Structurally appears sound and stands well.

A substantial decorative piece — the drinks can shown in one photograph is included for scale.
