This nineteenth century antique milliners hat block sits on its original stand. The head a has a human sculptural quality. I think it is made of elm and the base is fruitwood. There is no damage but the wood shows many signs of age ie wear and tear in several cracks and working pin marks. The antique patina and colour are excellent.the head and stand are just under thirteen inches high.
