Hornby R123 LNER D49/2 Hunt Class 4‑4‑0 “The Berkley” in OO Gauge. Tender‑driven motor unit. Tested on my layout — runs smoothly with strong pickup and good slow‑speed control. Bodywork and lining present very well and in near mint condition.

Features

The LNER D49/2 Hunt Class locomotives were introduced between 1927–1929 for mixed‑traffic duties across the North Eastern and Scottish areas of the LNER. “The Berkley” represents one of the named Hunt Class engines used on secondary passenger services, branch line duties, and light mainline work through the 1930s–1950s, later operating under British Railways (BR) until withdrawal.
