Slim octavo (18.75cm); yellow pictorial paper-covered boards; publisher's original glassine dustjacket; [8]pp, with a three-color frontispiece by E. McKnight Kauffer. Hint of sunning to spine, trivial wear to extremities, else a fresh, very Near Fine copy. The glassine dustjacket shows several small nicks, tears, and attendant creases, with a larger (2.5" x 1.25") chip at upper rear panel; only Very Good.

Eliot's 43-line narrative poem told by one of the Biblical Magi, who travelled to Bethlehem in order to visit the newly-born Christ child. Issued as No.8 in Faber & Gwyer's "Ariel Poems" series, and the first of five contributions Eliot would make. A wraps issue of 5000 copies precedes this one by 3 months, but the issue in boards is a challenging little thing to find in pleasing condition. Gallup A9b. 8705.
