This auction is for two (2) British-made Parker Duofold aerometric fill fountain pens. These elegant pens are approximately 12.5 cm (125 mm) with the caps on.
These feature the late-era (late 1950's - 1960's) minimalist barrel engraving, crisply stamped with "Parker Duofold". This lot includes two distinct 14K gold nib variations, making it an excellent instant collection.
✒️ Pen 1: Jet Black Parker Duofold
- Size: Approx. 12.5 cm capped.
- Nib: Solid 14K Gold, stamped "Parker 14K England 25". (Note: Features a larger #25 Standard-sized nib, which provides a wonderful writing experience in this compact body). Nib width is estimated at Medium.
- Cap Details: Single gold-filled chevron pattern cap band with a matching black conical cap jewel.
✒️ Pen 2: Burgundy Red Parker Duofold
- Size: Approx. 12.5 cm capped
- Nib: Solid 14K Gold, stamped with the classic "N" motif. The "N" signifies that the gold nib was manufactured at Parker's premier Newhaven, UK plant. Nib width is estimated as broad.
- Cap Details: Single gold-filled chevron pattern cap band with a matching burgundy conical cap jewel.
📐 General Specifications (Both Pens):
- Filling System: Built-in Aerometric squeeze fillers
- Trim: Classic gold-plated Parker arrow clips and chevron cap bands
🔍 Condition Report:
- Cosmetics: Both pens display a deep, glossy shine with light micro-scratching and desk wear consistent with age. Sadly the cap lip of the black pen has a small hairline crack and a tiny chip from it. Difficult to see. Otherwise reasonable vintage condition, no cracks, or personal engravings.
- Gold Trim: The gold-plated clips and chevron bands retain great plating with minimal brassing or wear.
- Nibs: Both 14K gold nibs are straight with plenty of tipping material remaining.
- Mechanics: Squeeze filling mechanisms are complete with original metal shrouds but sold as is/untested.
