North Carolina was admitted to the Union on November 21, 1789. The boxcar features operating couplers, opening cargo doors, detailed underbody and trucks, and State of North Carolina data in great color graphics. This is one of the thirteen states paired with the 6-1776 Seaboard U36B diesel locomotive and the 6-7600 N5C porthole caboose that is not included with this listing. This boxcar was produced by Lionel from 1974 to 1976 to celebrate America's Bicentennial. The boxcar is from truly one of the finest and most unique collections in Lionel history.

The new, vintage boxcar is in excellent condition. The original Lionel box is included with this listing. This boxcar was never run on tracks, only on display in an avid train collector’s location. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
