Beautiful 6.75” x 5.75” x 2.25” vintage dovetailed wooden chest from the Artek “Save the Whale Collection” featuring a faux scrimshaw style top depicting USS Constitution over a Mediterranean map including Gibraltar and Tangier. From the 1980’s.

Produced as a part of the Artek’s conservation-era “Save the Whale Collection,” the faux scrimshaw top reflects an effort to preserve the traditions of maritime scrimshaw art without the use of whale ivory. Includes original paperwork.

This piece is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Felt inside box also in great condition. Please refer to pictures.
