Iris 'Jane Phillips', one of the most beloved and reliable Tall Bearded Iris
Renowned for its stunning sky-blue flowers and gentle, sweet fragrance, 'Jane Phillips' displays large, softly ruffled, pale porcelain-blue blooms accented by soft white beards. May-June flowering. Its upright, sword-shaped grey-green leaves offer striking architectural structure to borders, gravel gardens, and cottage garden displays.
Medium blue self. 'Helen McGregor' x ('Pale Moonlight' x 'Great Lakes'). Firm textured and of exquisite color, it possesses that mark of distinction that is a characteristic of so many iris bred by Dr. Graves. c1950

Bloom Time: Late Spring to Early Summer (May - June).
Plant Type: Fully Hardy Perennial (RHS Award of Garden Merit winner).

Sun Requirements: Full Sun (requires a sunny spot to bake the rhizome for abundant blooms).
Soil Type: Well-drained, free-draining soil (handles sandy or chalky soils effortlessly).
Plant rhizomes horizontally with the top half exposed to direct sunlight.

Once established, this iris is very drought-tolerant and needs very little maintenance.
