Made in China. Estate find. This was purchased by a family member on their trip to China in the 1970's. The wooden base is removable. I do not know what material the lion is made out of. The lion
is possibly soapstone. It is cool to touch. The object is heavy, weighing about 14 ounces. The figurine measures approximately 5 inches by 4 inches when placed on the base. Please review the pictures carefully and reach out with questions.
