Henry Grove was a notable English nonconformist minister and theologian who lived from 1684 to 1738.

Acceptable condition.

Significant wear to the books.

Cover boards partially detached,  hanging on hinges and wobbly.  Require very gentle handling.

Heavy rubbing, bumping and chipping to the edges and corners.

Corners bent.

Pages showing some discolouration and spotting,  yellowishing.

Endpapers with some staining.

Heavy tears and chipping to the edges of the endpapers of one of the volumes.

Still can be read.
