An ultra rare UK first pressing of the Rolling Stones self-titled debut album, with the mistakenly issued and withdrawn 2:52 demo version of 'Tell Me.'
UK Decca mistakenly included this demo version on only the very first copies of the Stones debut; these copies have -1A stampers on Side 2 (the stamper here has -2A on Side 1). This example has plenty of shine to the playing surface, but many light marks. It grades G+ visually, but plays VG++ on both sides with no skips or jumps.
It has the early flipback laminated cover, which is in G condition, with numerous lamination creases, and aging to the back cover, which has a previous owner's initials, and tick marks by a few track names.
We have priced this appropriately; clean examples have sold for as much as $4000 (an acetate of this album, which in our opinion is not authentic, sold for over $26,000. in 2026).
We have been buying and selling music collectibles for nearly 50 years.
