Offered is this vintage office electro-mechanical calculating machine, the “High Speed Adding Calculator”, made by Monroe. Because the Monroe label is very dark and difficult to read (see last photo) I do not know the model number or how old it is. The company began in 1912 and is still in business today. There are two additional labels on the underside; one indicates the machine was apparently at one time owned by Phillips 66 and the other has some numbers to indicate the date installed but I do not know what they mean (see next-to-last photo).
The physical aspects of the machine are in good condition overall. Most of the machine is lightly soiled and there is some light surface wear. A piece of carpet or similar is attached to one foot. There is no power cord so I have not been able to test it. The various buttons, levers, etc. move when pushed, pulled or turned but I do not know enough about how the machine operates to know if they are functioning properly or not.
This is a heavy item so shipping may be high. I would welcome in-person pickup by anyone close enough to make that feasible.
