StarTrader, a vintage 1982 science-fiction trading and strategy game published by Simulations Publications Inc. It is an independent game designed to be compatible with SPI’s Universe role-playing system, although it can also be played on its own.

Players take control of starships and travel between planetary systems, buying and selling cargo, managing crews, improving their reputation and trying to make profitable deals. The game also includes rules for hyperspace travel, contracts, warehouses, factories, ship upgrades, piracy and space combat, giving it a mixture of trading, exploration and tactical play.

This copy includes the large colour display sheet, the Rules of Play booklet and die-cut counters, all stored in a clear zip-lock bag.

The rules booklet and playing components show some age-related wear, creasing and discolouration, while the plastic storage bag also has general wear from age and use. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
