This is a handcrafted Japanese Deba kitchen knife forged by master blacksmith Fujiwara Teruyasu. Made with a high-carbon White Paper Steel (Shirogami) core, this 168mm (6.6") knife features Teruyasu's iconic rustic "Nashiji" (pear-skin texture) finish. Designed specifically for filleting fish, cutting through bones, and heavy butchery tasks, this traditional single-bevel knife combines incredible edge sharpness with superior balance and durability.
Pre-owned (Good). The knife maintains a thick, solid blade profile with minimal steel loss and excellent structural integrity. The traditional wooden handle is tight and secure. Minor cosmetic surface tarnish, light patina, and faint sharpening marks typical of high-carbon Japanese knives are present, but the overall edge geometry and blade condition remain in fantastic shape for immediate culinary use.
