It's the 3-pin/terminal type version.

This would have been standard fitment on pre-67 6v Bugs, T2 split Buses, and possibly Karmann Ghias, Type 3's, and early Porsches. 

Make sure you know what connects to what.

The part does have scratches/usage marks and would benefit from a light clean up before fitting. It is over 56 years old so hardly new.
