Matching pair of Antique Oil Lamps standing 60cm tall.
The bases and fonts are ‘Messengers’, which are clearly marked on the lugged collars.
Square brass bases with a footprint of 16.5cm with reeded elements, hold central brass reeded columns which in turn support brass fonts with a reeded pattern to the underside.
Lugged collars, marked ‘Messengers’ hold the brass Duplex burners which are marked British Made’.
The burners teeth hold undamaged glass bulge chimneys.
The brass galleries support 20cm diameter glass shades with a floral etched pattern and a blue band at the top measuring approx 4cm deep.
The shades may well be of a later date than the rest of the lamp.
Condition - there are some tiny holes in some of the bases top corners, the top of one of the brass fonts has some surface cracks.
