Fine abstract composition by Danish modernist Gerald Franijeur, painted in 1972. Executed with bold palette-knife impasto, the work is built from sweeping, swirling forms in vibrant shades of green, blue, ochre, red, violet, and white. Thick layers of paint create a richly textured surface, giving the composition remarkable depth, movement, and energy.
Presented in its original minimalist wooden frame.

Gerald Franijeur (1903–1984) was a listed Danish modernist painter and sculptor. He studied in France and Italy before establishing his own art school in Denmark. Franijeur began his career as a landscape painter but later developed a distinctive style of abstract surrealism, blending dream and reality through expressive compositions populated with mythical creatures, organic forms, plants, and cosmic imagery. His richly textured paintings are celebrated for their vibrant color, dynamic movement, and imaginative vision, making him a notable figure in 20th-century Danish modern art.
