Beautiful and rare antique musical Marotte doll, signed F.G. (François Gaultier), one of the 19th century’s most famous doll makers.

    • Cookie head with beautiful fixed blue glass eyes, hand painted heart mouth

    • Red and gold fabric tapered headdress with gold braids

    • Original clothes, two-tone fabric dress (red and white) with gold borders

    • Original bells, one missing bell

    • Carved bone handle, which also acts as a whistle

    • Functional musical mechanism, activated by neck rotation. 

    • Good overall condition considering age

    • A missing bell (visible in photos)

    • Slight signs of wear on clothes and head, but original, which is rare, " 

    • Mechanism works, may need overhaul
