The surface of the leather has not been excessively processed in order to bring out its texture. It is prone to scratches when first used, but the longer you use it, the shinier it will become and the more it will develop a rich patina. The scratches will also become less noticeable as a result.
If you are concerned about scratches, please use commercially available mink oil for leather products. The color of the leather will deepen and the scratches will become less noticeable.
