Philips 22RH590 Vintage Integrated Stereo Amplifier – Made in Holland
Offered for sale is an original Philips 22RH590/00Z integrated stereo amplifier, manufactured in Holland during the early 1970s.
The RH590 formed part of Philips’ first generation of transistorised domestic Hi-Fi equipment. Its combination of a brushed-metal control panel, wooden side panels, substantial ventilated cabinet and period Philips styling makes it a particularly attractive piece of early European audio design.
This is a genuine standalone stereo amplifier rather than a receiver: it does not contain a built-in radio tuner.

Condition
The amplifier powers on and the red power indicator illuminates.
No speakers or source equipment were connected during testing, so playback, channel output, inputs, filters and controls have not been fully tested.

Cosmetically, the amplifier shows substantial age-related wear, including:
- Surface dirt and oxidation on the aluminium fascia
- Marks and discolouration around the controls
- Paint loss and scratches on the upper cabinet
- Dust within the ventilation openings
- General wear consistent with more than 50 years of use and storage
- Wooden side panels remain present and structurally sound
