About USS Constitution
Commissioned in 1797, USS Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned naval warship still afloat. Nicknamed "Old Ironsides" during the War of 1812, she became famous when enemy cannonballs appeared to bounce harmlessly from her exceptionally strong hull.
Today she remains one of the most iconic sailing warships ever built and is preserved as a museum ship in Boston, Massachusetts.
