For sale is a genuine Marantz PM-16, one of the company's flagship integrated amplifiers from the golden era of Japanese hi-fi manufacturing.
The PM-16 sits well above Marantz's mainstream range and was engineered for serious music lovers. It combines substantial power, exceptional build quality and the warm, natural presentation for which Marantz has become famous.
Unlike modern lightweight amplifiers, the PM-16 is built like a true high-end component, weighing approximately 17 kg and featuring a massive toroidal transformer, HDAM discrete amplifier modules and a heavily reinforced chassis designed to minimise vibration.
Even today it remains highly respected within the audiophile community and is increasingly difficult to find in Europe.
