This instrument is being sold as is. I would say that it is not playable in its current state (even though I am able to get some sounds out of it) due to a crack in the tubing just past the lead pipe. That would definitely need to be addressed. Beyond that, I'm sure it could use some additional repairs to be put in optimum playing condition. If nothing else, it could stand a chem cleaning. Aside from the aforementioned crack, this horn is in overall very good physical condition for an old baritone. Granted, it has dents, dings, pings, and nicks throughout the instrument, but not as severe or as many as most horns this age. There is a crease in the rim of the bell. I was only able to extract two of the slides, but I didn't try all that hard to get the rest out. I don't think that it will be a major deal to remove them. I was able to remove all of the pistons, and after oiling them, they are moving smoothly and rebounding quickly. There are a couple of re-soldered braces. This horn is bare brass, so it has developed a tarnished patina. It comes with a mouthpiece that is marked simply "baritone". It is well worn, with lots of scratches, and the shank is out of round. The only other accessory is a lyre. It comes in its original case. The case is well worn, both inside and out, and the interior smells musty.
