This is a pair of Vintage Royal Worcester Porcelain Egg Coddlers in the Bournemouth pattern.
Function: It is designed to cook eggs by placing the coddler in boiling water, but can also be used to warm baby food or reheat leftovers.
Design Details: The porcelain body features a lithographed design consisting of bunches of multi-coloured flowers dominated by a large red cabbage rose in the centre front., and includes a screw-on chrome-plated metal lid with a lifting ring.
Origin and Era: These items were manufactured in England, with many popular designs produced during the 1970s and 1980s.
They measure approx. 9cm tall with the lid x 5.5cm in diameter.
