A beautiful Victorian horseshoe library chair dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This is a lovely statement piece with a solid hardwood frame, elegant carved detailing, brass castors and a distinctive curved horseshoe back.
The chair has been reupholstered in a striking distressed red leather-look upholstery which suits its character while making it comfortable and practical for everyday use. It would look fantastic in a study, library, office, reading corner or as a feature chair in any home.
Condition is very good for its age with a solid frame. There are a few small marks and minor nicks to the upholstery, as shown in the photographs, but nothing that detracts from its appearance.
