⚠️ Important Buyer Information & Installation Guide

Please read the following technical requirements carefully before purchasing, as we cannot offer free replacements for damage caused by incorrect installation or faulty external gear:

Do NOT Connect Directly to 240V Mains:

SOX lamps cannot run directly off standard mains power. Doing so will instantly destroy the lamp. They strictly require a compatible ballast, ignitor, and capacitor circuit to operate safely.

Beware of Faulty/Burnt-Out Lantern Ignitors:

If your previous lamp burnt out completely, it may have damaged your lantern's internal ignitor. If you install this new lamp and it only flickers a dim red or fails to warm up fully, your lantern's ignitor is likely faulty.

Common culprits: Philips lanterns featuring the black plastic oblong-shaped ignitor, or Thorn lanterns with the round aluminum canister-type ignitor.
