For sale is a biography of Rabbi Chaim Elazar Waks (Rabbi of Kalisz), author of Nefesh Chaya and an important early supporter of religious Zionism and Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel.  

This copy is personally inscribed and signed by the author, Israel David Beit-Halevi, on the front endpaper.

Original hardcover with the original dust jacket. The jacket is worn with tears and losses, especially along the spine, but is present. Binding remains sound.
