Vintage Hand-Woven Andean Textile Fragment

An authentic vintage Andean hand woven textile acquired by me while travelling through a remote region of South America in 1974

The textile features intricate geometric designs in traditional Andean colours including reds, yellows, greens and cream. It is hand woven using natural fibres and displays the craftsmanship associated with indigenous weaving traditions of Bolivia.

Although I cannot identify the exact age or cultural origin, it was purchased in Tarabuco, then a remote village over fifty years ago and has remained in my collection ever since.

Length is 114 CM and the width is 5 CM.
