ORIGINAL ISKRA ATA 12 RED & BLACK ROTARY TELEPHONE C1960’S - YUGOSLAVIA

On offer is a genuine Iskra Kranj ATA 12 Rotary Dial Telephone manufactured in Yugoslavia and dating from the 1960’s.

Finished in the highly rare and desirable red and black colour scheme, this example retains its original bell, induction coils, capacitor and wiring and presents very well throughout.
The red body with black handset retains a strong shine with only minor signs of age and use, the dial rotates and returns smoothly and internally the telephone is complete and original with clean components and wiring.
The underside is marked ATA 12 and retains all four original feet.
The telephone has been converted for use on a B.T. landline and is fully functional for incoming calls including the classic bell ring. However, for outgoing calls it requires an analogue line that supports pulse dialling. This typically isn’t an issue as most owners use these phones for incoming calls only.
If you would like to make outgoing calls, you can easily resolve this by purchasing a pulse-to-tone converter. These devices convert the phone's pulse signals into tone signals making it compatible with modern systems.
