Offered here is an original antique deck of R. Thorne & Sons “Thorne’s Whisky” playing cards, produced as a promotional item for the famous Scotch whisky distillers. This is a complete set of playing cards, including all standard cards plus Joker, housed in its original branded box.

The cards feature beautifully detailed, traditional court designs and a distinctive illustrated back showing the Thorne’s Whisky crest, crossed swords, and heraldic imagery. The Ace of Spades and Joker are especially ornate, reflecting the high-quality printing typical of late 19th–early 20th century promotional decks.

R. Thorne & Sons Ltd. were prominent Scotch whisky distillers with operations in Greenock, London, and Dublin, including the well-known Aberlour-Glenlivet Distillery.
